Certain fees are required to purchase access rights to the 3,500 km of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean snowmobile trails. The rates are set by the The Quebec Federation of snowmobile clubs (FCMQ) and help support the work of regional clubs and their many volunteers who groom the trails.
Fees for the 2010-2011 season
The access fees include the mandatory civil liability insurance pursuant to article 19 of the Loi sur les véhicules hors route (Quebec law for off-road vehicles), and applicable taxes.

Purchase your access pass before you hit the trails Extra charges are payable when the annual trail permit is purchased on trails. Note that permits issued for antique sleds, as well as daily or weekly permits, cannot be purchased on trails.
Replacement of a trail pass It's possible to purchase a replacement trail pass for $20 preferably at the same club or dealer where you bought the initial trail pass. To get a replacement trail pass, you need the receipt and the sticker of the initial trail pass.
Transfer of a trail pass
A trail pass can't be transfered to another snowmobiler. It can only be transfered from one snowmobile to another owned by the same person (sale and aquisition of a new snowmobile for example).
